The Skokie Solomon Schechter Elementary School building is comfortably homey and inviting for both students and faculty alike.  The school has recently undergone renovations including a redesigned Learning Center, air conditioning, an updated technology lab and many other improvements to enhance the learning environment for 280 K-5 students. Students attend the Skokie campus from throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Students work with a dedicated faculty who build on their strengths in warm, nurturing classrooms. Our teachers are life long learners who take advantage of many opportunities to advance their instructional practice. In addition to our General and Judaic Studies teachers, our faculty includes art, physical education, dance, library, technology, and music specialists whose programs enrich student learning each day. Our social workers support the social and emotional needs of our students. Learning resource and reading teachers support the students in meeting academic goals.
