A warm, diverse, and caring Jewish community

Your child will find a home at Solomon Schechter Day School, where we welcome students and families from all Jewish backgrounds. We recognize that many Jewish families are on a journey, and we provide opportunities for families to learn and grow together.

While all families have their own reasons for choosing Schechter, there are many factors that distinguish Schechter as an exemplary, award-winning school. Take a look at the short videos below to get a glimpse into daily life at Schechter and to answer the question, Why Schechter?

During my time at Schechter, I learned to grow independently and academically. I was able to create an extremely special rapport with other students and my teachers. These teachers have had a significant impact on the person that I am today. I feel proud when completing an essay, I feel confident when I read Torah, and I feel connected to the community at Schechter.
