Schechter Receives $1 Million Endowment Gift from the Jonas Family
At a time when our school, our families, our community, and our entire world is facing the economic impact of COVID-19, the Jonas Family has made a $1 million endowment gift to Solomon Schechter Day School. In May of 2018, the family donated $1 million to establish The Etta Jonas Scholarship Fund. This brings the total amount the Jonas Family has contributed to our endowment in the last 24 months to $2 million. Disbursements from this gift will continue to provide vital tuition support to Schechter students and families in perpetuity. Read more.

In three words, Schechter is a community, learning, and Judaism. Schechter is the type of community that promotes friendship, leadership, learning, fun, and most of all the love of being Jewish. Each day when I walk into school, I am greeted. Whether it's a security guard, a parent, a teacher, and sometimes even a student, I know that I'm starting my day in a community way.
