Shortly after our school closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we had a full day of online learning for our ECC-8th grade students. They begin at 8:10 am with morning announcements and end at 3:15pm. In addition to general and Judaic Studies classes, their schedule includes T'fillah, office hours for one on one time with teachers and learning specialists, phys ed, and "specials," including coding, art, band, dance, and after school activities.
Our students are not only keeping up with their academics, they are gaining important life lessons from caring teachers who help them feel safe and supported and provide a sense of calm and normalcy at this uncertain time. We are also offering new ways for our community to stay connected and engaged – we invite you to join us below.
While our commitment to the whole child is not unique to eLearning at Schechter, it has brought out the best in our school and community. However, this is who we are and reflects how we live our mission and core values.

In three words, Schechter is a community, learning, and Judaism. Schechter is the type of community that promotes friendship, leadership, learning, fun, and most of all the love of being Jewish. Each day when I walk into school, I am greeted. Whether it's a security guard, a parent, a teacher, and sometimes even a student, I know that I'm starting my day in a community way.
